The third annual Brisbane Cheese Awards (Saturday June 14) and
Brisbane’s Big Cheese Bite (Sunday June 15) combine to create the
most cheesy event in Australia.

Brisbane’s Big Cheese Bite offers the largest range of Australian-made
cheeses ever seen in one location for tasting, savouring and buying.

This is where you’ll see most of our nation’s serious artisan cheese producers showcasing their lovingly crafted products, including award-winning cheeses from the Brisbane Cheese Awards, held the day before.

At Brisbane’s Big Cheese Bite, cheese producers offer free cheese tastings
so you can pick your personal favourites and purchase them on the spot
if you choose.

Last year, around 10,000 people savoured the day and this year’s event,
held at a new location (Norm Buchan Park), is expected to draw an even
larger crowd.

Festivities include entertainment all day for all ages, with children’s entertainment, rides, salsa dance classes by Vida Latina, street entertainers,
a Latin dance band, Chu’kale’, and Australia’s ultimate ABBA tribute band, Dancing Queen. It’s not only tasty, it’s all very cheesy!

Non stop top line entertainment program for all ages. Free cheese samples and the opportunity to buy cheese direct from the cheese producers to take home. Other fabulous food to buy from stalls with mouth-watering menus, plus wine and beer at reasonable prices. Brisbane’s Big Cheese Bite is a great family day with loads of food, fun and entertainment.

A free shuttle bus service will loop via Milton train station, the Park and Ride area at the Toowong Bus Depot and then to Norm Buchan Park. See maps below for areas to catch the buses.

There is a one bus shuttle to run continuously from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Departing Milton Railway to Park and Ride at Toowong then to Norm Buchan Park.

There is a five bus shuttle from 4.00pm to 5.30pm. Departing Norm Buchan Park to Milton Railway then to Park and Ride at Toowong.

Parking

There is limited parking in the streets surrounding the park. Public transport is strongly recommended.
